Terms & Conditions

Please note: the Promotion counter will only update for sellers who are not on Managed Payments and will update at the sale of an eligible listing.

1. Promotion Period

The £2 Cap Final Value Fees (“FVF”) will be valid for up to 100 transactions ("Promotion") on new listings created from 24th August until 31st August (“Promotion Period”).

2. Eligibility

This Promotion is open to business sellers who:

  1. are registered on www.eBay.co.uk (the “Site”);
  2. have been invited to take part in the Promotion and have actively opted in via the RSVP link in the email or Seller Hub page before 31st August 2020; and
  3. reside in the European Union.

Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable.

3. Promotion and Procedure

  • Create your listing(s) in the fixed-price or auction format during the Promotion Period.

  • Listings will qualify for the Promotion on items sold within 30 days from listing. “Sold” means that the item has been paid for in full by the buyer. Listings which are relisted or renewed after the Promotion Period will be charged the standard FVF rate.

  • Please note: the Promotion counter will only update for sellers not on Managed Payments only and will update at the sale of an eligible listing.

  • The promotional offer will apply to up to the first 100 items sold from eligible listings. The maximum sale promotion limit is applied to each seller’s account, even if a seller is activated on to manged payments during the Promotion.

  • An eligible listing previously scheduled to go live during the Promotion Period will qualify for the Promotion only if you have actively opted in to the Promotion via the RSVP link before the listing starts.

  • For sellers who have not been activated for managed payments: A 5% FVF take rate will be automatically applied to all eligible, completed sales at checkout.  For any eligible sales that also have a FVF which exceeds £2 (excluding VAT), a £2 cap will also be automatically applied. This means the maximum FVF for eligible sales is £2.

  • For sellers who have been activated for managed payments: For the variable part of the FVF bundle, a 6.9% FVF take rate will be applied, and for any that also exceed £2 (excluding VAT), a £2 cap will be applied. The Fixed FVF charge will be reduced by 100% to all eligible, completed sales. This means the maximum FVF for eligible sales is £2. The discount to the FVF bundle will be applied to your account within 60 days of the end date of the Promotion Period.

  • The first 100 sales from qualified listings will count towards the transaction cap, including transactions that do not meet the Promotion’s £2 cap.

  • Please note: if the item does not sell within 30 days the first time, and if you relist it after the end of the Promotion Period, or if it is automatically relisted after the end of the Promotion Period, standard FVF will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.

  • Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good ‘Till Cancelled function will be charged.

  • Your first listing period may vary and is dependent on the listing format you choose (e.g. 'Auction' vs 'Buy It Now’), the duration of the listing you choose and the listing experience you use. The first listing period will be considered to have ended when the listing you create first renews or relists.

  • Any other fees (such as listing upgrade fees) will still apply and will be charged in accordance with the eBay fees policy.

The following are excluded:

  • Private sellers.
